Abstrak

The government's policy of implementing an independent curriculum as part of the National Education system certainly has great challenges and opportunities in the era of technological development. The Industrial Revolution 4.0 where knowledge and technology developed rapidly resulting in fast and competitive changes (Yusnaini & Slamet, 2019). Therefore, the implementation of the independent curriculum must be aligned and supported by good resources, institutional financial strength, support and guidance from policy makers. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of implementing the independent curriculum to deal with technological developments in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. Data collection tool using interviews, documentation and literature review. The results of the study stated that 1) the implementation of the independent learning curriculum consisted of school assessments; character surveys; RPP effective zoning system and implementation e. report cards; 2) The challenges of implementing the independent curriculum in facing technological developments in the industrial era 4.0 are more related to the implementation of learning, including demands for continuous improvement of teacher competence; demands for the availability of adequate infrastructure; and demands for the independence of educational institutions.
